Illustration selected by Society of Illustrator 66’s Jury to be the recipient of Nancy Lee Rhodes Scholarship in 2023. Heavily inspired by Balenciaga’s magnificent bright pink platform crocs. Created at RCAD following the prompt “fashion”.

Process

I tend to use a dark blue or purple for my line art and then color over it in certain areas to reduce or increase contrast.
